Mud Dry

Mud-Dry

Mud-Dry™, developed by SpreadRite Organics®, is a manufactured Hardwood Fiber consisting of Recycled Urban Construction Wood. Mud-Dry™ consists of highly absorbent wood fiber that provides excellent ground cover and moisture wicking properties. It covers the soil and creates a crust to prevent soil pumping and soil migration. It helps to deal with the dreaded “Moon Boots” that every worker despises on today's work sites. We also offer our granular Dry-Kote™ additive, which when added during Mud-Dry™ application, allows the soil to absorb more moisture. The Dry-Kote™ is effective in enhancing the moisturewicking properties of the Mud-Dry™.

Mud-Dry™ is highly effective on residential and commercial work sites to minimize soil erosion and to enhance worker efficiency and productivity. It can be applied at any desired depth between 1” to 6”. The depth is dependent on the desired results and specific application. It is also effective at minimizing construction waste by preventing materials from sinking into the soil. It is also effective when applied around the house foundation in keeping the edge of the house clean from the dreaded mud splashing on to the brick or siding, saving cleaning costs. Mud-Dry™ is also an accepted material for Construction Entrance Pads. When applied with a Geotextile fabric and a minimum 6” depth, it is very effective at providing a solid surface for Construction Entrance Pads. Mud-Dry™ is also utilized at Sporting Events or Trade Shows to assist with high traffic areas that disturb the grass or soil creating muddy conditions. As the “Official Erosion Provider of the Talladega Superspeedway”, it is has been used with success in and around the camping and parking areas. It has been utilized at Golf Tournaments, Motorsports Events, and College Athletic Events. Mud-Dry™ also makes a nice ground cover for walking rails. This is an affordable alternative to the other types of non-natural surfaces commonly used.

Mud-Dry™ can be pneumatically blown with SpreadRite Organics® Pneumatic Blower Trucks. It can also be applied and spread with a skid steer or small tractor. The key to effective installation is to cover the soil at the appropriate depth.
